Thalassitis Submerged

A few words about the wine:
In 2009, «Gaia Oinopoitiki» in collaboration with the Volcano Dive Center carried out a bold experiment: The immersion of 450 bottles of «Thalassitis» in a «submarine cellar» in Santorini. At a depth of 25 meters, the effect of oxygen is zero and, therefore, its role in the aging of wine is non-existent. Unfortunately, in the first year, 2009, 447 bottles were destroyed out of the original 450.This means that only three bottles were practically saved.
Luckily, in 2010 we received 258 bottles. «Submerged Thalassitis 2010» matured, for five years, in conditions of complete absence of oxygen and in temperatures of the Aegean Sea bottom. It is a rare wine in all respects, while it is a pleasure for every self-respecting wine lover.

Sotiriou dive center present the route of training of the most recognizable organization IANTD and the levelscan be followed to become certified diver at the desired level. For each course, we provide the appropriate reading and audio-visual material.

In both the theoretical and the practical parts of the training, we follow the organization’s standards, so that students can be adequately informed and prepared for the sea and the underwater world in general.

All you have to do is to select the path of your choice and follow it up. Gain the knowledge and skills of every level before moving to the next one. Although each level may have a different degree of difficulty, the reward is certainly worth it. It is up to you, to decide which level you want to obtain.
